Oh spring…I love you so. The warmer weather, the dresses and the prospect that one day soon I might get to have a little time off and hang out at the beach with the sunshine.  Until then let’s talk about fashion and this Carven dress. I have a love affair with anything striped. From tee’s to pants to dresses my closet is full of stripes. In fact, when I am shopping for myself I am often picking up striped things and putting them down (knowing that I have enough!)- But this Carven dress is a must-have for spring.

I paired it with some Paul Andrew polka dot heels. I got these lovely pumps last spring at The Room…hopefully you did too because sadly I haven’t seen any this season. I like the two different patterns together. You could also wear this dress with a cool navy block heel.

It’s a little short but I give you permission to wear shorter skirts in the summer- whatever your age.

This bag is from one of my favourite local brands Lloyd and Wolf.  Bangles and rings are from Urban Outfitters. I sometimes find some good accessories at Urban Outfitters-  it’s a little young from the outside but I’m telling you there are a few little gems inside.

The dress has a cute little back with a little open part.

If you wanted to wear the dress more conservatively you can always add a jacket. This one is Helmut Lang– my go-to-brand for great blazers.

This shoot was so fun. I was trying to walk quickly so that I didn’t draw too much attention. Stripe dresses gander looks. Take it from me.
