I had the lucky experience of seeing some fabulous cocktail dresses this week. It inspired me to look for some more that I love. These dresses would be great for any event you have over the summer season…weddings, showers, cocktail parties, date nights…depends on how popular you are, I suppose.

Oh and a special note regarding my Whistler trip this past weekend. Not a fashion capital to say the least, but to all the ladies out there who may want to wear mini-skirts please feel free (yes, I was 20 once too)- but for heaven’s sake put a nice heel on!! Never wear a short, tight, jersey skirt with flats…unless you are at the beach and you are wearing sandals. Ok. Good. Let’s talk about dresses.

I feel that everyone should own at least one Roland Mouret dress. You will try one on and you will not be able to leave the store without it, I am not lying. This one is fierce and fabulous.

I also love this Alexander McQueen dress. It reminded me of an Alaia dress, but a little more affordable.

This Helmut Lang dress is fabulous. I just realized today that I love Helmut Lang even more than I did before. Great jackets, blouses, pants, dresses…everything!!! Just wait till fall and I’ll be going on and on about his leather jackets.
