I admit it,  I love award shows. I am a sucker for the heartfelt thank you’s, the joy and the glamour. Obviously I am excited to see the dresses and this year proved to be one of plunging necklines and old hollywood glamour. And didn’t we love Maggie Gyllenhaal’s speech and George’s gushing love for his new wife? It’s all about the love. It really is. And fashion.

Here are my favourites.

One.

Ok, since I absolutely adore Josh and Diane, I couldn’t be more overjoyed that Josh’s show The Affair received the recognition that it deserved and on his arm the lovely Diane Kruger- who of course tops my best dressed list. Wearing Emilia Wickstead, who is not a mainstream designer, but her dresses are often seen on Kate Middleton and she is getting quite the following.

Two.

Emma Stone…who doesn’t love a pant suit? A lady who can wear pants to an award show is my kind of lady. Wearing Lanvin.

Three.

Naomi Watts just dazzled in yellow and that necklace? AMAZING. There will probably be naysayers about her yellow, but don’t listen. Wearing Gucci and Bulgari.

Four.

I didn’t love the movie Wild, just being honest…But I do like Reese Witherspoon. And I do like her in this dress, even though it kinda looks like Diane’s. Wearing Calvin Klein.

Five.

And honourable mention goes to Kate Hudson, wearing Versace. It’s not something I would ever wear…at this time…considering my lack of a chest…but she looks amazing. Really amazing.

Six.

I love Lena Dunham in Girls and she rocks this Zac Posen dress. She looks cute and stylish and like a glamorous version of herself. Well Done!!
