Essential Wardrobe Pieces for Spring

Once you have built your wardrobe with your basics, it can be a great relief to finally start buying some trendier seasonal pieces. Covering your bases with a black blazer, a great jean,  a perfect evening clutch, etc- is the rule first- then you can add the fun stuff. Here are my top suggestions for spring.

The White Blazer.

Helmut Lang blazers are the best. Especially this white one. I might need to own it. Although I do have a great Barbara Bui one from last year…hmmm…I put in a Top shop one below to show you that this is something you can save on or invest in. Up to you.

The Cropped Skinny Jean.

I love showing a little ankle with my flats. As soon as it stops raining. Current Elliot.

The Coloured Long-ish Coat.

I think this Joseph one is pretty great. Easy to wear with jeans or with your work-wear. The Carven one below is a great colour for spring and you could wear it into fall as well.

The Coloured Flat.

I love studded things- jackets, bracelets, etc…and now you can wear a little detail on your flats. We have these McQueen flats in pink and black at The Bay downtown.

The Spring Tote.

How about a cute Marni tote? A print or a solid would be great to add to your neutral base.

The Jump-Suit.

I admit it I already bought one, even though I can’t wear it yet as it is so cold. But I will, and I might even wear it to an upcoming gala. This JBrand one is cool and chic and affordable.
