The Art of Flats
I am a huge fan of flat shoes. I am already quite tall so I don’t need the height of heels and the days where I walk endlesslessly at work I appreciate the comfort. This season I thought Grace Coddington’s direction in the December issue of Vogue with the new pointy toe Marc Jacob flats was a game-changer. Sure, pointy toe flats have always been “around” but it just seemed so fresh to wear them with cocktail attire and dresses. The trick is to avoid wearing them with a pencil or slim skirt. Full skirts or long dresses are perfect for the flat- they won’t make your legs look as short. I’m actually excited about something to wear. Which is great cause I am so boring when not excited about something. Really, ask anyone.
They looked amazing on the runway at Marc Jacobs.
Here are some other great styles…
Loeffler Randall available at The Bay.
Valentino.
Nicholas Kirkwood.
